Graves Guide
This is Fleet Footwork Graves, the rune page most of the best Graves players run. Graves is a ranged jungler: he wins early skirmishes by keeping his distance, farms hard, and takes over once Hubris, The Collector and Lord Dominik's Regards are done. Your job is not to snowball the game, it is to keep it close and calm until that third item, because an even game at three items is a game Graves wins. Every fight is built on one habit: get close first, then Q into a wall.
Runes
Quick Tips
All phases
- •If Q is not guaranteed, do not throw it, attack and wait for a wall, a slow or their dash
- •Get close first: attack, E in, attack, then Q, the closer you are the more damage you do
- •Kite along a wall, never straight away from it, so every step keeps a Q angle
- •W the enemy jungler as they walk to the pit, if they cannot see it they cannot Smite it
- •Press E the moment your reload starts, the dead time disappears and your next spell comes out instantly
- •E into a thick wall shortens the dash, so attack, E, attack comes out instantly
- •Secure a contested camp with Q into Smite, it hits harder than an attack into Smite
- •A missed Q on a camp is a slower clear, aim it so it detonates on the wall behind the monster
Skill Priority
Early Game
Before 1st item
- •Start E, the armor stacks and the dash keep your first clear healthy
- •Put every shot on the biggest monster in each camp, Q and your pet finish the small ones
- •You are ranged, so early skirmishes against a melee jungler are yours as long as you keep your distance
- •Invading is insurance for your scaling, take their camps when you know where they are
- •Never walk into melee range and face tank, let them come to you
- •Base the moment Serrated Dirk is affordable, Hubris builds out of it

Core Build Examples

Mid Game
1-3 items
- •Your job is three items with the game still even, not a snowball
- •Skip the coin flip fights, a close game at three items is a game you win
- •Fight in corridors and tight jungle terrain, where every wall is a Q angle
- •Throw W early in a fight, the blind stops their attacks and the slow sets up Q
- •Stack E off cooldown on the objective you are taking, so you start the fight tanky
- •You are item hungry, so between plays keep every camp and wave of gold you can reach
Situational

Late Game
4+ items
- •You are a glass cannon, a stun you could have dodged with E costs the whole fight
- •In a close fight hold E to dodge their key spell, spend it on damage only once the fight is won
- •After your second shot, E into R into an attack bursts without knocking you out of range
- •Right on top of a target, attack, R, E, attack gets two shots and R off at once
- •Stay near your team, past E and Flash you have no way out
