Talon Guide
Patch 26.19 Diamond+·Difficulty:
This is Fleet Footwork Talon, the lethality assassin nearly every top Talon player runs. Clear fast, then disappear: Talon wins from bushes the enemy has not warded, over walls they did not expect, and on the second hit rather than the first. Umbral Glaive into Bastionbreaker is the spike, W is both your clear and the first half of every combo, and E is how you leave, so keep a wall behind you in every fight.
Runes
Quick Tips
All phases
- •Fleet Footwork is the rune from Emerald up. First Strike only holds up in Gold.
- •Level 1 is W, and it is also your first camp's clear.
- •Vs Shaco, if he jumps a wall to check a camp, wait in the bush across it; one combo kills him.
- •Vs Wukong, do not race him for a smite fight. His R wins that exchange.
- •Never leave base with gold unspent. A component now beats a full item later.

Early Game
Before 1st item
- •Your first clear should have you level 4 by 3:05, and by 2:59 once you are Master.
- •Full clear first. Talon is not a duelist this early, so fight the enemy jungler only when the numbers are on your side.
- •Gank with both halves of W, then Q onto the target and auto to set off P.
- •Wait for your Serrated Dirk before you invade a squishy jungler; that is the point where you can kill them instead of trading camps.
- •Keep a wall between you and every fight, even a gank. With no wall nearby, you are not in a Talon fight.

Mid Game
1-3 items
- •After each clear, disappear: sit in the bushes they have not warded, away from your team, and strike second.
- •Path toward the lane that is winning and can turn a kill into an objective, not the lane asking loudest for help.
- •Once W and Q have points in them and your second item is done, you win most 1v1s; before that, always keep a way out.
- •Base the moment your next item is affordable. Your damage lives in completed lethality, not gold in your pocket.
- •Check enemy items before you commit. If they are ahead, look for a pick instead of a fight.

Late Game
4+ items
- •Flank from over a wall and pick off whoever is out of position; never walk down the middle into their front line.
- •Show on a side, bait out their spells, and go in once the cooldowns are burned.
- •Take one pick and leave. A late death gives them the next objective for free.
