Shaco AD Lethality Guide
AD Shaco on Hail of Blades is a pick assassin who wins with information and cooldowns, not with fights. Q puts you where nobody is looking, W turns every bush you have already visited into a trap, and the lethality build means the first target you touch is the one that dies. The whole champion runs on one rule: you are only dangerous while Q is available, so commit it to kill, never just to arrive. Umbral Glaive is the item that flips the switch, because the part of the map you clear of wards is the part of the map where your ganks are free.

Quick Tips
All phases
- •W stacked in a bush turns a face check into a kill. Put them where the enemy will walk, not where you are standing.
- •Enemies buy sweeper against you. Once you see one, move your W off the obvious bush.
- •Smite plus Ignite means Ignite has to finish a kill. Never spend it as poke.
- •Good players tell your R apart by what it fails to proc. Use it where they have no time to look: in fog, in a bush, on a target that is already running.
- •Base on the item, not on your HP. Serrated Dirk and Boots, then Umbral Glaive, then Voltaic Cyclosword.
- •Take the objective and leave. A one HP Shaco is worth nothing to the enemy, and a one HP enemy is worth nothing to you.
Skill Priority
Early Game
Before 1st item
- •Your first clear should have you level 4 by 3:14, and by 2:50 once you are Master.
- •Level 1, place W at raptors at 0:25 and again at 0:40, then start red. The big raptor walks to you low, and one Smite takes it for level 2.
- •Full clear by default. Leave a camp at a quarter health with a W on it and walk on, the W finishes it.
- •You reach scuttle before most junglers. Put a W or a ward on it first, and if they contest, the fight starts on your terms.
- •Take the early gank only when the checklist is met from stealth too: target pushed past midline, under half HP, Flash down. Q makes the approach free, it does not make a bad gank good.
- •Before level 6 a Q spent on the way in is a death sentence. If the target can turn on you, do not go.
- •Track the enemy jungler with camp timers and Tab, and invade on information, never blind. A W in the bush they path through is worth more than a blind walk into it.
- •Base the moment Serrated Dirk and Boots are affordable. Unspent gold on a ganker is a gank that did nothing.

Core Build Examples

Mid Game
1-3 items
- •Umbral Glaive is the spike. Sweep the wards on your side, then gank the lane that just went blind.
- •Play around your strongest laner. Path toward them, mirror their resets, and fight on their clock.
- •After a kill, stop and convert: dragon, plates or a base. Chasing with Q down is how Shaco dies.
- •Dragons before Baron. Set the objective up a full minute ahead: camps cleared, vision down, gold spent.
- •With R up you can take dragon fast: the R copy holds its attention while you hit it from behind.
- •Take grubs or herald only when they are free or as a trade across the map. They are not worth a fight when your top side is weak.
- •Check Tab before every commit: numbers, HP, R, Q, gold spent. Missing one means go later or not at all.
Situational

Late Game
4+ items
- •Shaco does not fall off late, so never force an early play out of fear that he does.
- •You are a flank, not a front line. Arrive from fog after the enemy has committed, and kill the accessible target, not the ideal one.
- •R dodges one lockdown ability. Keep it for the CC that would kill you, not for extra damage.
- •One Q equals one kill. Never use it to walk into a fight you cannot walk out of.
- •When behind, farm, play to live, and wait for the enemy mistake. A Shaco who is alive still threatens a pick. A dead one wins nothing.
